I got an email regarding a new EMR platform for Perfusionists. Having designed numerous database systems before, this would in my opinion be worth taking a look at. I will review the system in the coming week. In the mean time- download it and check it out 🙂
Hey it’s FREE !
Dear fellow perfusionists:
A trial disc with a limited “License to Use” is now available for which is designed computer documentation, and it is free. For a free trial, email me at PerfusionPro@aol.com, and you can be electronic in minutes.
Documentation of perfusion events on bypass is so critical to improve patient outcomes. Being able to see what happened on bypass … evaluating line by line the information captured clearly explains how things were done. If the results of the procedure were satisfactory, it can be repeated as recorded or you can make improvements.
PDS Perfusion Pro is the most complete perfusion documentation program available, and it is well tested and used for the past 11 years. In addition to the events, it also collects most all the perfusion related fields for the STS database 2.73, and it will adapt nicely to the soon to be released STS 2.8 version.
A big advantage is that it clearly documents the procedure, equipment and drugs that were used, avoiding any loss of revenue. It is said, “If it was not documented … it was not done”, and hence difficult to prove that it was used or done.
