The Canadian Cardiovascular Congress (CCC) is the largest gathering of cardiovascular and allied health professionals in Canada and is the premiere annual cardiovascular event in Canada. The Congress draws cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, perfusionists, nurses, researchers and other cardiovascular specialists from across Canada and around the globe. The perfusion section maintains complete programming independence with perfusion related topics. Last year, the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion awarded 22.1 CEUs.
All abstracts must be submitted through the CSCP website at www.cscp.ca using the required abstract form to be considered for acceptance. Abstracts are selected on the basis of scientific merit. Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be sent via email by August 15th 2009. Accepted abstracts will be published in an issue of the Canadian Perfusion Canadienne Journal. Authors whose abstracts are accepted give CSCP permission and authority to submit and have published his/her abstract without compensation in the CSCP journal. Authors are expected to attend the meeting and present their abstract. All presenting authors must register for the meeting through the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress website www.cardiocongress.org and are responsible for their own registration fees, transportation and accommodations at the CSCP meeting location. Please make sure you register through the perfusion section.
Abstract deadline - Abstracts must be received electronically through e-mail no later than July 1st 2009. Paper submissions or faxed abstracts will not be accepted.

By disclosing any direct or indirect conflicts of interest, the submitter authorizes the Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion to disclose conflict. Disclosure information for accepted abstracts will be made available to CCC and CSCP delegates and shall be mentioned at the time of oral presentation on the first slide.
