Well, I graduated 3 yrs ago w/ an advertising degree. Since, I've decided that I hate the industry and am not interested in promoting other peoples interest..
I have a year of Biology and College algebra under my belt; I realize I will have to finish off my pre reqs. I was looking at the Texas Heart Institute's site and i think they said pre reqs were 8 hrs bio, 8hrs chem, 3 hrs college algebra, 3 hrs physics, 3 hrs statistics. Is this the general standard for admission to most programs..?
Also, my gpa isn't so hot, I think a 2.5. I had a lot of family/social issues during school, and in my degree GPA wasn't as important as creativity or networking..
What can I do to negate this? Tell me everything I need to know. I assume Perfusion School is very competitive seeing how slots for schools can  vary from 5 to 8 a semester depending on the school.
I've even thought about getting my RN to help my chances...
Do they have post bac programs or even pre perfusion concentrations?
Does getting pre reqs at a community College  (cheaper) hurt your chances?
Obviously, a lot is running through my head; any information at all will be greatly appreciated.
