i write you because is important for me to know the amount of eparin that you addition in your circuit for ematic prime and the amount of eparin that use your anestesist.

Hi.

Our anestesiologists add 500 UA/kg of Heparine before canulation (children & newborns)

In prime volume we add the same dose 500 UA/kg.

Dear ,

we are using 5000unit heparin in our circuit , our priming volume is 600mls. we add 200mls FFP and pack cell + ringerlacted solution in our priming volme. our anaesthiologist use 300unit / kg heparin at time of heparnization. and we follow this practise from Freeman hospital New Castle UK.

We add 3IU of Heparin per mL primevolume for pediatric cases. The dose given by anestesiologist prebypass is 400IU/kg. We use coated oxygenators but not circuits. Rollerpump. /Ann-K
